What's the difference between an MCP connector and an API integration?
An MCP connector gives Claude a set of tools it can decide to use in conversation, with your access rules applied. An API integration is a fixed automated flow that you trigger. Agentic work needs the connector. Deterministic work is usually cheaper and safer as an integration. We say which one your use case needs during design.
Can you connect a system with no public API?
Often, through a database view, an export feed, or a middleware layer. It depends on the system, so we assess feasibility during design and tell you before you commit to a build.
Who owns the connector code?
You do. It's deployed in your environment with source and documentation handed over.
Who pays for Claude licences?
Anthropic seats and API consumption are billed to you on your own account, so the environment and the data stay yours. We help you land on the right plan and model mix as part of the engagement.
